Carolina Leaners Controls
Complete Carolina Leaners control map after the Roblox revamp: lights, 4x4, shifting, TCS/ABS, handbrake, engine, and freecam.
The description is the source of truth
Carolina Leaners prints its binds on the Roblox page. After the rebuild they are no longer the old H / F / G card. Lights are L or B/Circle. Indicators and hazards are Z / C / X or D-pad left / right / hold down. 4x4 is G or D-pad up. Shift up and down are E / Q or X / Y. Trans mode is M or a tap on D-pad down. TCS and ABS are T / Y or hold D-pad left / right. Handbrake is P or LB / L1. Horn is H. Engine on/off is F or L3. Freecam is Shift+P.
That block is the whole driving identity of the sim. Learn it once on keyboard, once on controller, and once on mobile so you are not mixing the old rock-light bind with the new engine bind in a farm rut.
What changed from the pre-revamp card
The old description used H or L for headlights, F for rock lights and underglow, and G or V for 4WD. Players who last touched the game in 2025 will hit F expecting neon and shut the engine off instead. That is the number one "my truck is dead" ticket after the rebuild. Relearn F as ignition. Lights live on L. Underglow, if your build still has it, is no longer that F key.
Shifting is the other shock. E and Q now change gears. M changes trans mode. You can no longer treat the truck as an automatic toy with a single pedal. Pair this page with how to play for the first-night order: engine, lights, trans mode, then 4x4 only when dirt starts.
Assists are not cosmetic
TCS and ABS exist because the stance options in this game are extreme. A Carolina squat unloads the rear tire. A low race truck sparks into driveways. A lifted truck bounces weight onto the front bumper in mud. T and Y are how you keep those silhouettes drivable. Turn them off only when you are doing a staged photo or a controlled slide in an empty lot.
Handbrake on P is the lot-turn tool, not the mud tool. In ruts you want 4x4 and patience, which is the whole mudding lesson. Freecam on Shift+P is how you inspect bumper height against pavement before you commit to a lean.
Practice loop that sticks
Spawn, engine on, lights on, hazards on, hazards off, shift up twice, tap trans mode, tap 4x4, tap TCS, horn, handbrake, freecam. That is one minute and it covers every printed bind. Do it in a parking stall, not in a moving convoy. Then go drive a farm road where mistakes are cheap.
If a bind feels dead, you are in a pre-revamp memory, not a broken truck. Recheck this chart. The wiki will keep matching the Roblox description as weekly patches reprint it.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers players actually search after the revamp.
What key starts the engine now?
F on keyboard, L3 on gamepad. It is not the old rock-light bind.
How do I turn on headlights?
L, or B / Circle on controller. H is the horn after the revamp.
How do I enable 4x4?
G, or D-pad up. Use it for mud and farm ruts, not for every parking-lot pull.
What is trans mode?
M, or tap D-pad down. It changes how the E / Q shift behaves. Learn it before you chase a low race pull.
